Hi, i was a little hesitant to order this because of the blade refill prices, and also some of the reviews people have made it out to be not much of an upgrade from previous gillette razors. I want to address the first issue that this absolutely does a better job with shaves than my previous fusion 5, it's not even close. My shaves are a lot closer, and i can go further between shaves now, it's also far less irritiable when shaving. I have sensitive skin and don't even feel this razor gliding acrost my skin. So yes it is a very nice improvement in comparison to some older models, secondly the blades might cost more per blade than older generations but I do truly believe they will last a bit longer as well, as other people have mentioned I would always reccomend patting them dry on a towel after use and it should help extend some of the lifecycle. The magnetic base looks really nice, and functions great im not sure how some people are saying it doesn't work? Anyways it is really a nice razor and I don't regret getting it, hopefully Gillette will stay reasonable with cartridge refill pricing.

The razor provides a closer shave than the Gilette Fusion I was replacing. However the handle seems to collect the shaving creme making it slippery and requiring more frequent rinses. The magnetic handle stand is a joke. The handle has to sit in it just right or it won't standup. A uselss gimick that only adds an uneeded expense to the product.

I have been using the Gillette Pro-Glide for some time now and felt it was the best shave I have had. I recently decided to upgrade to the Gillette Lab since seeing a few of the promos. Since I was already happy with my Pro-Glide I wasn't expecting it to me that much better. First shave was good, but I didn't think it was that much better until the day after. I usually shave every day, but the next morning I realized that while I did have slight stubble, it was much less than I normally had, and my face still felt relatively smooth and soft. If I shave every day with Gillette Labs, my face will be extremely smooth. However, it is still smooth enough that I can actually get away with not shaving on consecutive days. This is where I was pleasantly surprised and now believe the Gillette Labs gives me the best shave yet.

I have a heavy facial hair growth and additionally shave my entire head everyday. If I don’t I can’t get me shirt on over the stubble.I have been using the Gillette blades with the yellow band and vibrating head.That was an excellent shave and the blade lasted about 7-10 days.I saw these new blades by Gillette Labs and tried them.I was extremely impressed, not only was it the easiest most comfortable shave I have ever had, the blades last between 14-18 days with no feeling of getting dull.I have literally never nicked myself with the blade, it is very well balanced between the handle and blade.Remember, I have heavy growth on my entire head and face.I even shave my eyebrows everyday.The blades are costly but well worth the money.Mike

I’m sorry I had to wait 50 years to find the very best shave of my life! This razor does a phenomenal job of smoothing out my face like a baby’s bottom. The stand is very cool and takes up very little space on the bathroom vanity, so your significant other is also happy. Of all of the Gillette products I have used over the years, this one surpasses them all in performance, comfort, and quality. Effortless shave and sharp blades with practically zero cuts. Great design and quality.

The stand is really cool. The shave is close. Packaging is nice. Really nice to have replacement heads included when buying a shaver. The head pivots nicely around my husband’s jaw line for a very smooth close shave without irritation.

I hate spending a lot on shaving.This is by far and away the most expensive razor I’ve ever purchased.I was hoping that it would shave my neck- the hardest part of my face to shave.It worked OK but not as good as I expected watching the tv ads.
