You get what you pay for. Yes, 500 is a lot for binoculars. However, they will pay for themselves. How? Because when you take them to opera, ballet, stage theater, or sporting events you no longer have to worry about buying a good seat. Buy 3rd or 4th ring at the ballet and these will put you right up on stage with the dancers. The money you save buying cheaper seats will pay for these binoculars. You can laugh at the folks who paid for orchestra seats. Clarity of Zeiss is second to none. You will finally see whatever event you’re attending. Don’t go to a stadium to stare at the Jumbotron. Bring the field to you!

Clear Zeiss optics with exceedingly fast zoom capabilities. Intelligently designed lens caps are a real plus, too. Light in weight with a good ergonomics. Reasonable fiddling required to customize for perfection.

Really like that the with or without glasses feature really works. Most don't. Images are clear. The instruction book (if you could call it that) could be more clear and I didn't understand why one lens cover is connected and the other you have to hold onto. There might be a way to store it but I'm not seeing it.
