New Red 13-Gallon Touch Free Sensor Automatic Kitchen Office

I hated that it took over a week to arrive (but that was stated so no problem), but it was worth the wait, and it was also because I wanted red. This trash can works so well, I absolutely LOVE it!!! No longer having to touch the lid, and nothing gets onto the lid either because it opens up for you! One thing though, it takes C batteries, not D. I ordered the batteries so I would have them ready when my can arrived, only to find out it took C batteries, I didn't want to wait another second so I did a quick insta-cart order lol.

So far works great. Easy to use. Beautiful shade of red. Fit well with the other red accents in my kitchen. Does open when I walk by but I am unable to place in another location. So you will want to place in a low traffic area.Also warning that getting battery compartment open to insert batteries is very difficult.

I ❤️❤️❤️ this trash can!!! It looks beautiful in my kitchen AND I get a ton of compliments on it. Everyone is so fascinated with the motion sensor. I was hesitant to pay that much for a kitchen trash can but it is well worth the investment. I’ve had it almost a year now (I think) and haven’t had to replace the batteries yet. I definitely recommend this product!

I bought this trash can because I was tired of my step can migrating each time I stepped on the pedal. It was scraping paint off the wall and I would have to do touch ups about once a year. This can is the perfect solution. It’s hands-free and doesn’t migrate since it has sensors to open and close. The lid stays open for about ten seconds before it closes. It works great and uses four D batteries. I know the description says you can by a plug for it, but there is no place to plug in the adaptor.It is metal and sturdy. It also fits a 13 gallon trash bag perfectly. I love this trash can!

Lot's of complainers say it doesn't have a power-port, contrary to advertisement, and that's true. But I couldn't care less about a power adapter. I'm using batteries, and so far the first four D cells have lasted a month, and they were grungy kitchen-drawer D cells that have been sitting around for literally years waiting for something to do. When they die I will either use four new D cells or I will use AA rechargeable batteries in my D-cell adapter cases. I'm not too worried either way.It's simply divine not to have to touch anything to get the door to open. I used to like foot-pedals, but they always broke. Hopefully this lasts longer. If not, I lift it open, just like I used to do with the ones having broken foot-pedals.Follow the directions and no garbage bag will show. Use the enclosed lid-ring to hold the bag down, and fold the edges back over the ring and into the can. No big deal.Yes, the thing sometimes opens when you walk past too closely. No big deal.vONE YEAR UPDATE: a single set of four D-cell batteries lasted over a year. Why bother with a plugin adapter for $4 per year?

I replaced another really nice automatically-opening trashcan in my kitchen with this one simply because this one was red (that’s the theme in my kitchen). I have found that the sensor on this one is not as sensitive as the other one. It’s not too big a deal—I just have to hold my hand closer, but sometimes it takes a second longer than the other (which I gave to my mom), and this is annoying. This one also does not have a plug option as advertised. I read all the reviews before I purchased this, and one of them talked about being able to plug it in, so I thought all the other reviewers just didn’t find the opening. However, I looked all over the trashcan very carefully, and mine definitely doesn’t have one either, just like many people complained about. I believe they just changed the model slightly, but they didn’t change the description, which is kind of false advertising. Annoying, but I guess it is worth it just to have a red colored trashcan in my kitchen. It works pretty well otherwise.

Love this trash can!Durable even for when my son roughly drops the top repeatedly as well as sturdy enough for when pushes more trash down (instead of taking it outside). So of course it bends (without breaking) which makes it difficult to get the lid back on but you can always bend it back! Batteries last a long time too!

I am so displeased with this product! First off, the lid did not work upon arrival. It took me couple of months to get a replacement (had to email over and over about it, and finally got it). Once that finally came in, it worked. I was happy for a while. However, it didn't even last six months and it started acting weird. I thought maybe it needed new batteries, but that didn't work. I hooked an AC adapter up to it, and that didn't work either. It was making a very strange noise constantly and the back part kept acting like it wanted to open it even when no one was near the sensor. However, it wouldn't open even when we pushed the open button. When we manually opened it, it would shut immediately, not giving us enough time to put trash in. I had to turn it off. So, right now, we are just manually opening/closing it when we need to use it. I bought it with the idea that we wouldn't have to touch the lid with our dirty hands. This thing is way to expensive to not even last six months! I'm going to replace it with one that has a foot pedal.
