great radio, shipped with the wrong programming cable.
Absolutely great radio. The only issue I had was for some reason it came with the wrong cable. The cable it came with was tyt branded and in the box, however, it had the prolific chipset (like the cables for baofeng style radios) rather than being the straight through cable this radio requires. This was very confusing at first but once I figured it out I bought another cable from a different seller and it worked perfectly. For anyone having trouble getting the cable to work, plug the cable into your computer without the radio or with the radio off.If the computer recognizes the cable by itself then you have the wrong cable. The correct cable has no chipset and is straight through. You know you have the right one if nothing happens until you turn the radio itself on while connected to the computer.

came with wrong software and no instructions: no support available
this radio came with software for an older and incompatible radio. ...and no programming instructions whatsoever. i managed to find the right software from the tyt website but the stupid software wont accept any of the codeplug data. what a waste of time trying to get this thing working. there is no support available. I was finally able to codeplug data transferred using a lot of help from a user group and third-party software. I would have saved HOURS of frustration if there were some instruction or product support from the seller. Once it was FINALLY up and running, it's a 4 star radio, but it started out as a one-star experience.

How to program!
As are most HT’s it is difficult to program correctly for DMR use. The typical repeaters and UHF and VHF are fairly easy. I am still trying to get DMR to properly function. I can get out. Just not receiving. Otherwise a great radio for the money!
