Great addition to a bead sight weapon
I got this sight for an older, JC. Higgins, single shot .410 shotgun I've had for many years. It is a simple design with a bead sight. This sight is a great upgrade for the single bead and works great for most lighting conditions except very low light and darkness where it's the same as a bead sight. This is not a night sight, it is a fiber optic, but in daylight and room light this sight works really well. It's very bright. I would love to see TruGlo put this out with a TFO tube.It is easy to put on if you just read the instructions and follow it. Hold the sight over the barrel behind the front bead (meaning toward the breech end of the weapon. Place the end of the sight tube that is closer to the breech against the barrel and hold the sight at a 45 degree angle with the muzzle end of the sight barrel up. Then holding the breech end of the sight barrel against the weapon barrel push down and back on the front of the sight at a 45 degree angle until the back end of the sight barrel snaps over the weapon barrel; keep up pressure as you continue to press the front of the sight barrel back and down to get the rest of it around the weapon's barrel. Just make sure you don't press on the fiber optic tube itself. It will snap right into place. Lastly use a flat blade screwdriver to push the sight forward so the front notch is centered around and against the front bead, being careful not to scratch the weapon's barrel. You might have to rotate the sight barrel a little to straighten it out so the fiber optic tube lines up straight with the sight line of the weapon.

No tools needed!
Bought this for my Rossi Poly 20 GA. Really easy to install. Snap it on the barrel and it actually fits really tight! I ended with a sore finger tip when I had to peel it off the barrel because I had it ahead of the bead rather than behind it.I can definitely see better. A lot better in low light. Should be great for Dove or Deer.

Works great for Maverick 88
Heard everyone reccomended this as an upgrade for the bead on the Maverick 88. They were right! Super easy to install, just pushes right on with some force. Takes 15 seconds! It is a tremendous upgrade over the bead, the dot is so easy to pick up in any lighting conditions. An absolute must have.A helpful tip for installing it, it's easy to clip on, but twisting it so it's aligned can be tricky. I was able to use a towel to help grab the plastic sight and twist it into place. Saves your hands and is much easier!

Good simple Shotgun upgrade
Looks good and is a big improvement over the pointless small front sight on Mossberg 500. Snapped on snugly, I suppose you could use lock tite but it seems real secure and won't move. Overall I would recommend and am satisfied with the product and upgrade to Mossberg.

Very functional and easy to see.
Put this on a Sporting Arms snake charmer which came with no sights and it works good. Be advised it's tight and you'll have to work to get it started. At first you may think it's too small but keep at it. It was too small to simply slide on from the end so I angled it with some pressure on the muzzle to get it started opening up and then slid it on. If you have a bead simply turn it upside down so the opening on the bottom clears your bead. Once open it slides on the barrel with a little pressure. I found it easier this way than trying to force it down over the barrel as they suggest. I must say it is bright and quick to line up. Really a nice way to improve hard to see sights or no sights like mine.

Plastic not metal
While it seemed like it was gonna work nicely it must have weakened when I put it on. The first time I went out with the gun this broke in two. Unfortunately it is past the time that I could return it.

This product was pretty inexpensive and decided to give it a shot
I didn't really have many aftermarket options for my 870 express tactical. The front bead is press-fit so that excluded any threaded replacements. This product was pretty inexpensive and decided to give it a shot, (no pun intended.)Since the product is designed for 20 gauge weapons as well, it had to open to accomidate the extra width of the 12ga barrel. It will fit, but it's tight and on there snugly once it's fitted. I forecast this will be good once I get to shooting but it's a pain in the butt when trying to get the thing centered on the gun. There is a small ramp before the bead on my gun so the v-notch on the product didn't help. Finally got it centered and on there after making sure I didn't trap any moisture beneath it with a little bit of CLP. CLP or not, I don't think this thing is going anywhere. Tight.Unless it flies off when I shoot, I say give it a try. Not the cleanest install but whatever. Got what I paid for. Bright as heck indoors and out.

Perfect for my application
I picked up a Yildiz TK-36 single shot .410 at Academy. At $130 I couldn't pass it up. Best wood I've ever seen on a gun in at this price level. Got it home after work and tried it out. After about 10 shots I discovered that the front bead sight had fallen off, so I went to the internet to find a replacement. This Truglo sight looked like the most feasible option. I measured the barrel diameter at about 12.5 mm. Other reviews suggest this sight is intended to work with a barrel diameter between 11 mm and 15 mm so I ordered it. Being very careful not to damage the light pipe I wasn't able to snap it on as instructed, but since I'd lost the bead I was able to just slide it on from the end of the barrel. I ordered the red version and it is a clear bright bead that is far superior to the original bead sight. I'm very pleased with this sight but I haven't tested how well it remains in place after shooting.
