Really excellent intro into the art of true shaving. Reviewing the different parts:1) The Razor itself seems very well made. It has an excellent weight balance and has very appealing looks.2) The Blades: You really cannot be Feather blades. They were my go to before this kit and I plan to keep using them.3) The Brush: I was expecting a cheap boar brush to be honest. What I got feels soft, luxurious, and develops a very nice lather quickly. You won't have a super fancy handle like some of the expensive brushes, but who needs that???4) The Shave Cream and pre/post-balm: Overall some pretty quality creme and balms. The balms have been helpful in moisturizing and getting my skin ready. Wouldn't recommend the creme over some other cremes if you have sensitive skin, but overall, very decent.Long story short, if you're interested in trying a safety razor and don't want to drop a massive amount of money, I would highly recommend getting this kit first to see if it's for you.

I was looking to step up from the whole basic Gillette shave I've used my whole life because my face just was not having it anymore. I didn't want to spend over 100 dollars on a kit because it was my first REAL shaving kit. After searching for an eternity here on Amazon, I came across this kit and I'm extremely pleased. The price is amazing for what you get. Not only that, but the face scrub, shaving cream, and aftershave on offer are pretty decent feeling too. The actual product presentation is also quite spectacular. This makes a wonderful gift. The instructions provided are fantastic, and the razor's weight is great. All in all, if you're looking to gift someone a shaving kit, or even just pick one up yourself, this is a wonderful deal and a truly outstanding product.

Bought this as a gift for my brother in law. He loves it! Comes with everything in the photo plus a small hand towel and an extra blade. Very fine and good sharp quality razor. Looks very elegant and the razor is quite heavy. Plus The box is magnetic. My husband took a look at it and he loves it and would love one also. Very fancy. I would buy it again!

I have been using Bombay Shaving Company's 6 part shaving for about 2 weeks now . I have been using multi-blade razors since the very first time I started shaving and honestly, I was a little skeptical about using a single one blade razor.The Gillette's of the world have pushed us into believing that more blades means better shave . Bombay Shaving Company totally dispels that idea !!!For me personally , the feather blade from Japan is one of the best feature of this 6 part shaving system !!! Such is the quality of the feather blade that It truly was one stroke shave for me !! No mess , no hair sticking in between blades and most importantly NO NICKS , NO CUTS !!!! I did not feel the need to use the aggressive clamp that came with the shaving system.The product is beautifully packaged . Its delivered in a sturdy box with bubble packs which ensure that the contents are protected during delivery. It has a premium feel to it and has a great fragrance .The heavy razor allows it to sit well in your hand and puts the right amount of pressure on your face . The synthetic fibre bristle brush ensures a nice lather every time you shave .The system also comes with a pre-shave exfoliant scrub , which is such a welcome addition to my shaving routine . The shaving cream and the after-shave balm have really good fragrance . All in all , an excellent product . My shaving experience is simply fantastic !!! Just like me ,if you haven't experienced the closeness and beauty of single-blade shaving , get this kit ....TODAY !!!

This is not what was advertised. The gift/outer box was compromised. It appears as though it got wet and the moisture seeped inside and it smells a bit weird. The razor itself is very cheap and I would hate for my husband to cut himself using something like this so I'm not giving it to him. Don't waste your money!

I was really attracted to this razor due to it seemly being either the same as, or a very good copy of, the Bevel system razor. I really liked that it came with two base plates. One is mild and the other is more aggressive. However, when I put it together with either base plate I ended up with misaligned blades and varying blade exposures. The finish on this razor was flawless but the "fit" really was substandard. Try as I might I could not get the blade to align properly with either base plate. I had to send it back.

I would say it's a pretty decent kit. The cream leathers very well with the provided synthetic brush. It also provides a decent amount of publicity and cushion. The pre-shave scrub and the aftershave is also nice. The heart of the kit would the razor itself, and while I was thoroughly satisfied with the interchangeable heads for adjusting agressiveness (both doing their part to provide an enjoyable shave) I was pretty displeased with the handle. It is very narrow with practically no texturing at all. It provides a very poor level of control and can be rather tiring when shaving the neck. I would give the kit at least 4 stars but that handle is attrocious.

I love this kit. I have sensitive skin and using one of the 18 blade razors every day can give me razor bumps so I have been looking for an alternative. The razor itself is great (and worth the price alone), weighted perfectly, and resembles the Bevel razor (at a much lower price point). The blades themselves are good. Honestly, I am not sure any single blade is better than any other. The applicator is probably the cheapest part of the kit and I will probably swap it out for a badger brush shortly. It just feels very cheap. The face wash (prep?) is great and smells fantastic. The shave cream is ok, I prefer a little more lather but it is good. The aftershave is good. It doesn't dry out your skin, or burn. You get a washcloth, I've never actually used it.
